Mausam focuses on the life of two lovers, a Punjabi boy, Harry (Shahid Kapoor), and a Kashmir girl, Aayat (Sonam Kapoor), who fall in love after the two start seeing each other in Punjab. After Aayat is taken away by her family, Harry goes through life as an Air Force Lt. Cap, while waiting for Aayat to come back. After no sign of Aayat for many years, Harry visits Kashmir to see Aayat on a mission, and express his love to her, to keep their love story continued.
